About Me:
Friendly neighborhood optimist. Passionate Teaching-Artist. Poet. Essayist. Dreamer. My motto is I don't play Jazz; I play John Coltrane. I have a vision of a world where our children are inspired to be who they are without boundaries, where they believe in their dreams not as imaginations, but as a super-reality unconstrained by the borders that distinguish between here and there.

Hello! I'm Kay. I'm an artist and educator based in Litchfield County. I am described by many who know me as down-to-earth, empathic, and tenderhearted. Having worked with children for close to a decade, it has been and continues to be an honor to act as a gentle guide in their navigation of what it means to be human. I feel particularly impassioned to foster this experience in creative settings, as it was through the creative outlets in my youth that truly allowed me to find myself.
In addition to my work with Muse Squad, I am an Outdoor Educator at Pratt Nature Center and volunteer with Girl Scouts of CT as a Troop Leader. When I am not teaching, you can find me writing, making music, crafting, spending time with loved ones, and exploring the outdoors.
Hi!
It's so nice to meet you! You probably want to know a little bit about who I am and why I do what I do!
I am a highly organized and creative person that sees the world a little bit differently than others. I chalk it up to being homeschooled during a time when homeschooling was the uncool thing to do. I believe in spending my life finding ways to infuse creativity and whimsy into everyday situations.
While homeschooling my son, I began to teach at local co-ops, became an active leader with the Fairfield County 4H organization, and to privately tutor students, and in 2018, I founded Learning Streams. I’ve always had a unique way of understanding where each student was coming from and could help them to connect the learning dots.
Be Inspired,
Adrianne Roberts
